Visit Programmes

School Visits
Since 2008, OGCIO have teamed up with the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc. ((ISC)2) and the Professional Information Security Association (PISA) to visit schools, and organize information security seminars for teachers and students. During the visits, we discussed on the current affairs in the Internet, major security concerns on using various applications such as games, instant messaging, social networking services and provide tips on how to become a smart Internet surfer.

School Year 2010-2011
As at August 2011, we have continued the programme and visited 17 schools with over 5,000 students attended.

School Year 2009-2010
In the school year 2009-2010, we visited more than 11 schools in different districts. Over 3,850 teachers, parents and students have participated in the related activities.

School Year 2008-2009
In the school year 2008-2009, we visited more than 10 schools in different districts. Over 3,270 teachers and students have participated in the related activities.

InfoSec Tours
We have also partnered with the "TeenPower" to conduct InfoSec Tours. TeenPower is an online forum that provides regular broadcasting and interactive programmes to the youngsters and is operated by the Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK). The InfoSec Tours visit different organisations and conduct a variety types of activities. It aims to deliver information security message in a more relaxing way, and to equip the participants to be a smart Internet user.
