The Hong Kong Monetary Authority wishes to alert members of the public in Hong Kong to an email purporting to be sent from The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC). The email requests customers to use an embedded hyperlink (for example, "business-internet-banking.hsbc.com/bibauth/formStart?partnerid=HBEU91808253137546414627936
09700128190478561777119695279645808") to connect to a fraudulent website and verify their account information by entering their Internet banking account's user name and password. The fraudulent website looks similar to the bank's Internet banking logon webpage.
